bea’s monthly check up
earlier this afternoon we went to st luke’s for bea’s monthly checkup. good news, she gained half a kilo. yehey! not bad for a baby who doesnt suck on her bottle for milk and just wont take in anything solid, plus would vomit the little food that goes into her system every now and again. she also had her MMR shots.
we arrived at around 5pm. we had to wait for some while since there were still 4 kids ahead in line. while waiting bea wanted to practice her walking skills. she walked along the corridor then daddy would practice her standing up with out holding on to anything. (she’s 1 yr and 3 months and still not walking yet… though the pedia assured us this was nothing to worry about and that she’s just setting her own pace.)
while inside the doc’s office, bea was given a bread stick and we were s happy the she grasped this bread stick eagerly and sucked on it. later , she was already chewing on it. she was eating on her own! another milestone! i’m so proud of my li’l girl today! she’s growing up… definitely. urgh! bittersweet!
memory gap…
as mentioned in my blogs prior this one, lately i’ve been very interested in digiscrapping. so i installed a photoshop program in my laptop. then i proceeded to download freebies from the net to start my digiscrapping. but these past few days my computer has been lagging BIG TIME! just starting up windows take a couple minutes. and i can’t open two windows at the same time! my ram was only 256. all along i thought that was enough but it seems adobe programs take up so much ram space! for 3 straight days i would sleep in the wee hours of the morning trying to surf and scrap. i would sleep at around 3 am and i’d be frustrated coz i actually accomplished nothing since my computer just won’t work!
hubby was very sympathetic, or perhaps i wasn’t that nice to look at anymore with the dark circles under my eyes and all. so i convinced him that we should upgrade our memory. we first went by ugong, pasig for some business that needed to be settled, then off to megamall (san pa ba?) we had a hard time looking for the right memory since the neo guys told us they prefer the kingston brand. we finally found the cheapest one, a kingston 1 gb ddr 533 for 4,950…and the neo guys from digital playground installed it for us so that this upgrade won’t affect our warranty.
now the computer performs so well that blogging and surfing is a pleasurable experience once again! i intend to enjoy this fast broadband connection, at least until the bill for this purchase comes.
